I’m going back to my endocrinologist next week to get hooked up to a continuous glucose monitoring system. I’ll wear the system for three to five days in order to see what my blood glucose level is at all times.
While I’m not crazy about the idea of the system, I’m really interested to see how my numbers change throughout the day and are affected by what I eat. If it didn’t hurt so much (and if the test strips weren’t so expensive), I’d definitely prick my finger more just out of curiosity. Once you have to start thinking about your blood glucose, it’s hard to stop.
